The German Economic Association of Business Administration GEABA e.V. was founded in 2000. Since January 2019 Prof. Dr. Rohlfing-Bastian is the first chairman of this association. She takes over the Office from the previous Chairman Prof. Dr. Peter-J. Jost, WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. The purpose of the association is to promote the application and further development of the tools and methods of information economy, game theory, empirical economic research, experimental studies, new institutional economics and in particular operational issues.

With its annual research conference the "Symposium on Economic Analysis of Business" the GEABA e.V. creates a thematically open forum for the joint interdisciplinary exchange between business economists and economists. Particular emphasis is placed on topics for which an interdisciplinary research approach is advantageous. The purpose of the association is also to promote yound scientists.
