Research stay at the London School of Economics
Keno spent three months at the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as part of a TRR 266-funded research stay. Keno chose LSE for its renowned faculty and vibrant academic environment, which aligned perfectly with his research on decision-making in capital markets. He benefited greatly from the highly active and supportive faculty during the stay. Almost weekly research seminars offered insights into the current work of leading academics and triggered interesting discussions. Further, the work-in-progress seminars at LSE provided an excellent platform to present his research and receive constructive feedback from the faculty. Leveraging their location, the LSE also held a junior accounting conference together with the London Business School, which was a great opportunity to connect with scholars beyond the LSE faculty.

European Accounting Association Conference in Bucharest May 2024
We are thrilled to share our experience from the European Accounting Association’s 46th Annual Congress, held in the vibrant city of Bucharest, Romania, in May 2024. The event was a remarkable success, bringing together a diverse and passionate group of researchers and professionals.
The congress was meticulously hosted at the prestigious InterContinental Athénée Palace and Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest. One of the highlights for us was the opportunity to present our papers, "Heterogeneous Priors and Information Choices: Evidence from Sell-Side Financial Analysts" and "Hierarchy of Analyst Teams: Implications for Productivity" in parallel sessions and receive valuable feedback. The social events and networking opportunities were fantastic. It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances in such a welcoming environment. The conference ended with a gala dinner hosted in the Palace of Parliament which is one of the most luxurious and largest buildings in the world.
We are looking forward to the next EAA in Rome in 2025.

Additionally, he had the privilege of attending conferences at renowned institutions like Wharton and NYU, further enhancing his academic journey and making new connections. The visit was amazing and successful.
DokSem
In April 2024, it was Frankfurt’s turn to organize the yearly doctoral seminar with participants from the chair of business administration in Bochum and the Chair of management accounting & control in Münster. The DokSem provides us with the perfect setting to discuss early-stage research as well as advanced papers. Besides the research talks we also improved our skills in mental exercises: we went to an escape room and (surely) achieved some records! ;-) Looking forward to our next DokSem!
ARCTIC
In March 2024, we had the amazing opportunity to present our research projects at the ARCTIC conference in Fügenberg, Austria. The conference organized by TRR226 aims at more closely connecting analytical and empirical research in financial accounting. Besides great paper presentations and fruitful discussions, we had great fun at the slope skiing and snowboarding! Great weather and perfect conditions! We‘re looking forward to next year's ARCTIC!
Department Christmas Party

Our day began with a guided tour, exploring the city's iconic landmarks and hidden treasures. We then gathered for dinner at a charming restaurant.
NORDIC Accounting Conference
A recap of the Nordic Accounting Conference 2023 held at Copenhagen Business School. It was a fantastic gathering where researchers and practitioners from across the Nordic region and beyond came together to discuss the latest in accounting and auditing. The conference provided a great platform for Keno and Inga to share research ideas and build networks. We also had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Copenhagen, adding an extra dimension to the event. Thanks to all who participated and contributed to making this conference a success.
